Safety and tolerability

In animal safety studies (using healthy young animals), Onsior has demonstrated no signs of toxicity, including no evidence of any gastrointestinal, kidney, or liver toxicity — even at high doses. Onsior had no effect on bleeding times in these studies, and also demonstrated no detrimental effects on cartilage or joints in dogs.1

Limited adverse reactions with Onsior1

With Onsior tablets, some cats experienced:

  • Mild and transient diarrhoea, soft faeces, vomiting.

With Onsior tablets, some dogs experienced:

  • Gastrointestinal adverse events (most cases were mild and recovered without treatment), vomiting, soft faeces, diarrhoea, decreased appetite; increased liver enzymes with clinical signs was uncommon.
